Ice Cream

Usually every Sunday we go get some sherbet ice cream. In the past few weeks that we have been doing this, Miss Independent has decided that she needs to hold her own ice cream cone. Since sharing mine with her means passing it back and forth between the two of us and therefore melting a lot faster, we decided to get a very small strawberry sherbet cone just for her this time. She was sooooo happy! She just sat in her chair beside us and licked away. She did a pretty good job and didn't get too much ice cream on herself. We are hoping for Raspberry this weekend!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! We always head to a parade on the 4th. Unfortunately the weather wasn't going to cooperate with us. We barely made it through the parade without the rain. Khloe ended up getting pretty tired and was not very impressed with all of the loud horns. We spent the rest of the day at home relaxing since it turned out to be rainy all day!

The Zoo

Here are a few of the pictures we got while we were at the zoo. Khloe hadn't had much of a nap that day so she was not willing to stand still for very long to get some pictures. All she wanted to do was run around and look at the "big kitty!" She really liked that and the big fish aquarium. We began to realize how much work it is running after a kid. She did not want to stand in one place very long. We went to the zoo on July 3rd which was probably not a choice day to go. It was PACKED! You can about imagine us trying to run after Khloe and trying to keep track of her in that crowd.

Pool Time

Khloe has been spending a lot of time at the pool lately. She just wants to run right out into the water and usually makes it under the rope before she figures out she can't touch anymore. Then gets pretty upset when I actually have to hold her. She thinks she can just swim away! She loves to jump off the side of the pool into the water and always wants to play on the ladder. Unfortunately, I can't get Troy to go to the pool yet so this is the one and only picture I have of her at the pool this year. It is a little hard to try and hold my camera out of the water and go grab her if I need to. Hopefully I can get him to the pool so I can get some more pictures.

Digital Scrapbooking

Alright so I finally started playing around with the digital scrapbooking and here was my first project I finished. This was a picture from 3 years ago that I always liked. I just added a frame around it and the word 'treasure' at the bottom. It really adds a lot to the picture! So now.....I'm hooked. This could be a dangerous hobby that occupies a lot of time! Although once I got the hang of it I'm surprised at how easy it is! Don't worry I'll get back to posting pictures of Khloe...I know that is what everyone wants to see. Just had to play around a little with this one!

We are planning to head to the zoo on Friday...if the weather holds out. It is looking like it might rain. Hopefully we can go and have some nice weather. I'm excited to take Khloe to the zoo. She is going to LOVE it!!!
